TELLEF JOHNSON is a writer and director of Scandinavian descent who also composes and conducts the music to his films. Building on classic film styles, Tellef is concerned with pushing the dramatic limits of cinema while entertaining international audiences with visceral human stories. He attended graduate studies in New York and received grants from the Archibald Bush Foundation to shoot short dramatic films on 35mm on which he wrote, directed, composed the score and served as cinematographer. Tellef and producing partner Reka Leszay recently founded Execution Dependent Films to make exciting, powerful and unpredictable films for global audiences. Their debut feature will be completed in 2011 and is a wild dramatic adventure that utilizes a myriad of filming techniques on a variety of different films formats, from 35mm to 65mm.
